Where It Started
There was no venture capital round. No corporate backing. No office. Just three people who met, shared a frustration, and decided to do something about it.
We are three independent co-founders. Between us, we collectively invested $3,500 USD and 1.6 years of our time building Axes IQ. Not a single dollar of that investment came with an expectation of return. We didn't build this to get rich. We built it because we genuinely believed it needed to exist - and that nobody else was building it the way we thought it should be built.
The Problem We Couldn't Ignore
AI Was Everywhere, But Trust Was Nowhere
We kept watching organisations - tourism boards, councils, hospitality businesses, sports venues - try to adopt AI assistants and fail. Not because the technology wasn't available. Because the technology they could access was generic, untrained on their specific knowledge, and fundamentally untrustworthy. It gave wrong answers confidently. Users couldn't tell reliable responses from hallucinated ones.
The only organisations that could deploy truly accurate, knowledge-specific AI were those with the budget and technical capability to build custom systems from scratch. That meant millions of dollars and months of development - out of reach for the vast majority of organisations that could benefit most from AI.
A Gap That Demanded Filling
We saw the gap clearly: a horizontal platform that any organisation - regardless of size, industry, or technical capability - could use to deploy their own branded, knowledge-trained AI assistant. Not a chatbot. Not a generic assistant. A real product, built on their knowledge, trusted by their users.
No such platform existed. So we built it.
What 1.6 Years Without Expectation Looks Like
The Investment
Our collective financial investment of $3,500 USD went into infrastructure, tooling, and the services needed to build a production-grade AI platform. Every dollar was spent intentionally, on things that would make the platform better for the organisations that would eventually use it.
The Time
1.6 years of combined co-founder time. Evenings, weekends, early mornings. Architecture decisions argued over, rebuilt, argued over again. Features scoped, descoped, rebuilt properly. Every component of Axes IQ - the multi-agent orchestration system, the COGNEE RAG pipeline, the Trust Score, the CMS, the multi-tenant infrastructure - built with the care of people who know their name is on it.
The Why
We worked without external expectation because our motivation was never external. The goal was always the same: to make trusted AI accessible to every organisation, in every industry. That single sentence drove every architectural decision, every feature prioritisation, every late-night debugging session.
What We Built
Axes IQ is a horizontal AI agent platform - not built for one industry, but for any industry. It gives organisations a complete, production-ready AI product with a multi-agent system, a RAG intelligence engine trained on their own documents, a unique Trust Score that shows users exactly how reliable each answer is, a full no-code CMS, and multi-tenant architecture for agencies managing multiple clients.
The platform currently powers vertical AI products for tourism, restaurants and hospitality, government and councils, sports and entertainment, and grants and funding. Every vertical was built on the same foundational belief: that organisations deserve AI they can actually trust, and their users deserve to know when that trust is warranted.
